Gail Bolton Named - The county court yesterday appointed Gail Bolton of Boyd, administrator of the estate of his mother, Adda Bolton, deceased, who died November 14, 1942, aged 83 years, a bond of $8,000 being required.
   She died intestate, leaving on deposit in a bank $1,360.23; grain of a probable value of $2500, and an undivided on-ninth interest in the
wouthwest quarter of the northeast quarter of section, 23, township 1 south, range 14 EWM, situated in Wasco county.  The deceased is survived by the follow heir-at-law; Esta Walston of Atwater, Calif., a daughter aged 26; Elma Daniels of Dufur, a daughter aged 54; Erma Selleck of The Dalles, a daughter aged 47; Roy Bolton of Centerville, Wash., a son aged 55; Clyde Bolton and Gail Bolton, both of Boyd, sons aged 51 and 50 respectively; Clair Bolton of The Dalles, a son aged 42, and George Bolton of Boyd, son aged 37.  Frank G. Dick is attorney for the estate.

   Members of the Columbia Ladies Auxiliary met Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. D.D. Nelson.  A delightful time was spent in a social way, after which refreshments were served by the hostess to the largest number of guests who have attended any meeting of the year.  They were as follows:
   Mesdames Loren Roberts, Martin Dolan, Walter Kortge, Ross Brooks, Lester Hendrix, Roscoe Roberts, Willard Richards, Sam Tetherow, A.S. Roberts, E.C. Haight, E.H. Matheney, H.R. Richards, C.F. Emerson, Ada Davis, Mace Fulton,
W.H. Crawford, G.E. Sanders, Archie Lane, Clarence Quirk and the Misses Mable Nelson and Doris Bradburn.  Mrs. Nelson was assisted by her three daughters: Mrs. Quirk, Mrs.Lane and Miss mabel Nelson.

Miss Vira E. Mason became the bride of Gearhard Remple at a quiet wedding ceremony performed by Rev. T. Arthur Dugan at the Congregational parsonage at 9 o'clock last night.  Both the young people are prominent members of the Christian Endeavor society of the local Congregational church.  They will make their home here.

John Parke Bolton Funeral Services Set for Tuesday - Funeral services for John Parke Bolton, 67, of Wrentham, who died Saturday in a local hospital will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the C.R. Callaway and son chapel, with Rev. W.I. Eck of Portland officiating.  Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
   Mr. Bolton was a native of Wasco county, being born at Boyd, March 8, 1874.  A long-time farmer in this region, he made his home at Wrentham
during his life.
   He was the son of Absalom and Olivia Bolton, Oregon pioneers who crossed the plains by wagon train in 1852 and settled in Lane county.
   Mr. Bolton was a member of Morris Masonic lodge of Dufur and of Al Kader Shrine of Portland.  He was a past president of the Wasco County Pioneers association.
   Mr. Bolton leaves his wife, Bertha; a son, Verne; four daughters, Lois, Louise, Anna and Betty; a sister Adda Bolton, and two brothers, Lee of The Dalles and George of Lebanon.
   Pallbearers will be J.A. Clausen, Nicholas Fax, Clarence Quirk, Eugene Hammel Jr., Guy Eades and George Sigman.
   Honorary pallbearers include M.Z. Donnell, Joe Kelly, George Blakeley, E.C. Haight, J.W. Hoech and S.V. Mason.



April 27, 1928: Local Weddings - Miss Janette Mae Nelson and Philip Sorahan, the latter of Susanville, Claif., were united in marriage at the
Methodist parsonage last Friday evening.  Rev. Charles A. Edwards officiating.  Miss Nelson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Nelson of
this city.  Immediately following the ceremony the young couple left on a honeymoon trip to Spokane.  Upon their return they will make their home in The Dalles.  A number of friends and relatives were present at the wedding.

Marriage License Issued (undated clipping)- A marriage license was issued by the county clerk yesterday to Philip L. Sorahan, Sr., 40, Dalles tailor and Nettie Nelson, legal, also of The Dalles.

Thomas O. Wilson and Margaret E. Lousignont were married Saturday at 5 o'clock by Rev. Joseph Knotts, at the home of the bride's niece, Mrs. Charles Frank, 422 East Fourth street.  Both the bride and groom are residents of the Dufur district, where Mr. Wilson has been engaged in
farming for a number of years.
