| Ancestor Name: KENWORTHY - DOUGLAS
- PALMATEER - BYRD
Settlement Area: The Dalles, Wamic
Facts and Info: My gggrandmother was
Elsie Andrews, her first husband died
on their trip to the West. They had two daughters, Jane and Frankie.
Elsie married John Kenworthy after
her and her daughters had settled around the Wamic area. Kenworthy's
had three sons - Tom, John Keithly and Noah.
Frankie Andrews married Sam Douglas
and they had 8 children as far as I know - Steven, Elsie, Joseph, Grant,
Samuel, May, Clyde and my grandmother Anna Laurie. After Sam Douglas
died, Frankie married Dick Palmateer
and they had 3 children - Harriet, and twin boys, Cliff and Clay.
My grandmother Anna married Phillip Byrd
and purchased the
homestead (I believe) in the Wamic area.
Clay had a daughter called Eullalee (not sure of spelling). She later
married and moved to the Klamath Falls area - so I have been told.
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY INFORMATION
REGARDING THESE 4 NAMES? Would love to communicate with you if so.

| Ancestor Name: James Milton TAYLOR
Settlement Area: Antelope Valley
Facts and Info: Looking for any informatin
about James M. Taylor who was living in Antelope Valley in 1880 with wife
Sarah and son Charles M. He died in 1889 and she died in 1892. The children:
Charles M., George, Arthur, Elmer and Elsie were sent back to Indiana.
Is this the same James who
is in the County Jail in the 1860 census? The same James listed in the
military lists for Dalles in 1863. There is a single James Taylor of the
correct age listed in Pendleton to Willow District 1870 census of Umatilla
County.
We believe Sarah's maiden name
was Donaldson but can not find a marriage
record. Any help appreciated. |
