Ancestor Name: William & Catherine GOODWIN

Settlement Area: The Dalles

Facts and Info: I also have hit a brick wall. It's with William Goodwin (my gg grandfather) and his wife Catherine. I have a letter dated March 13th 1914, from my g grandfather John Wesley Goodwin, written to his sister Mrs. J. Draper that states the following:

"I came back to Vancouver took the boat to the Dalles went through the
locks I was in the Dalles today I went out the the cemetary and visited
Father & Mothers graves. I found them in splendid condition They dodded
over and the rose bushes look thrifty and nice. They have not sank down
very much The sexton just commemce that day I was there to clean up the
grave yard."

I don't know which cemetary he was talking about. It appears there are
at least two Goodwin graves.

Can anyone help with any information? I need the date of the death of
William Goodwin, any info on his headstone, and would like to know if it's possible to get his obit.
