Ancestor Name: Hugh DAVIS

Settlement Area: The Dalles

Facts and Info: I am looking for information about Hugh Davis and wife, Hester HEAD Davis.  It is assumed that they lived in The
Dalles Area about 1900.  After 1903 they were found in the Madras area.  I had always been told that they lived on 13th street near
or in the block east of the present day Junior High School.  I am especially interested in a death date for Hugh Davis and a place of
burial.  They were married in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 1871.  According to the 1910 census for Crook Co. The wife, Hester owned
a piece of property in or near Madras at a place called Lyle Gap.  She was living there with her son Hugh R. Davis (then 33 years
old). Most of the above information came to me from the Juniper Branch of Family Finders (for which I shall be eternally grateful)
Hester Head Davis was my mother's aunt who was originally born in North Carolina, transplanted to Arkansas, and after marriage
moved to Oregon.  Any information about her marriage, children, and family would be greatly appreciated.

Ancestor NameBENNETT, HENDRICSON, HASKELL

Settlement Area: The Dalles

Facts and Info: Searching for my grandmother's sisters and their descendants, all granddaughters of William BENNETT, an Oregon
pioneer who died in 1914 in The Dalles.  My grandmother was Cora E. Hendricson b. 1879, married George A. Haskell at The Dalles, Oregon.  All the sisters were born in the 1870's-80's, all lived in Wasco County at least part of their lives.  Their names were:  Eva HENDRICSON BLAKER who may have later married a BAUER; Lela HENDRICSON ADAMS who later married Emry BEACH; and Grace HENDRICSON STUART who later married Henry CUE.  Aunt Eva had several children, including George and Bessie Blaker.  Aunt Lela had children:  Pearl Adams (Ringwald), Elsie Adams, Ruby Adams (Cole), Della Adams, and Earl Adams.  Aunt Grace had at least one child, Eileen Stuart (Charbonneau).  If anyone knows anything about these families, please let me know.
